The Rotary Club of Golden began to focus on the issue of hunger and started the Golden Backpack Program in 2008 under the guidance of Peggy Halderman.

Although this program is now offered through BeGoldN, we continue to support these efforts.  The club also organizes an annual holiday food box program to support the needs of 300 families and seniors in our area.

Due to COVID we have shifted to holiday gift cards but will be readdressing the needs in 2022.
