Following is a brief description of the program, The Two-Sided Coin Of AI In Peacemaking, and a bio of our speaker, Dean Clemons.

TOPIC:  The Two-Sided Coin of Artificial Intelligence in Peace Making and Peace Sustainment — Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to be a tremendous tool to further world peace.  However, it also has the potential to be destructive tool in the pursuit of peace.  Colonel (Retired) Dean Clemons’s presentation will highlight several uses of AI nascent potential on both sides of the AI coin.  His presentation will elucidate AI’s role in the employment of the instruments of national power such as: Conflict Prevention and Early Warning, diplomatic use in dialogue and mediation, and enhancing humanitarian aid by addressing AI’s role resource scarcity and inequality.

BIO:  Colonel Clemons served in the United States Air Force for twenty-seven years in the Command and Control, Communications and Computer career field.  He commanded three Communication organization. He was the coalition advisor to the Iraqi Minister of Defense in 2007-2008.  He earned the Bronze Star and is a National Defense Fellow at Harvard University. Following his military career, he became an executive for four different Fortune 500 companies in cybersecurity disciplines.   He resides in Golden Colorado  and is an avid international mountain climber.
