TOPIC: Peacebuilding and Rotary: Opportunities for Rotarians to Create Peace in the World — Creating peace is embedded in the core of the Rotary organization. When reviewing the Object of Rotary, the 4th object states: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service. Following the Rotarian Code of Conduct and the Rotary 4-Way Test show others an example of high ethical standards and build trust locally and internationally. The presentation will cover the ways that Rotarians are creating peace personally, in their clubs, in their districts, in their zones, and in communities around the world. We will review our partnerships, Rotary Foundation Areas of Focus, fellowships, action groups and more. What can you do to stop human trafficking, child abuse, or domestic violence? How can you engage with Rotarians in other countries? Could you help supply therapy to those who are victims of conflict or natural disasters?
