Golden Rotary’s Vocational Service committee works with schools, teachers, and tradespeople to promote awareness of the opportunities available to students who decide to pursue a career in trades such as electrician, plumber, welder, carpenter, landscaper, auto mechanic, computer programmer, and so on.
Not everyone needs to go to college, and not everyone should.
Work as a tradesperson can be a rewarding occupation in which tangible results benefitting others are seen directly as a result of a worker’s efforts. The Vocational Service committee links students with information on the various
trades and encourages schools to highlight these career paths to high schoolers and others.
